The range of accessories and complements is constantly up-to-dated with proposals of innovative and original elements: magnetic tie backs, gimps, rings, hook and loop tapes, braided lead, café rods, just to mention some.

The Medical Division was established in Filmar in the sixties when, thanks to the close cooperation with major corporations, the production of compressive bandages has started. A little later began also the manufacture of other products, such as: support bandages , fixing bandages and special elastic tapes for the production of orthopaedic products .

Research and technical development have more recently brought to the production of innovative articles, like the bandages impregnated of zinc-oxyde and zync-ichthyol and, in general, medicated bandages.

In the range of self-adhesive bandages , the employment of glues of the last generation has allowed to reach a very high hypoallergenic degree, as well as the complete substitution of latex in the self-adhesive bandages.

The marketing strategy is pointing toward 2 main distribution channels:

• hospitals , with a production that is focusing on the specialization in Phlebo-lymphology, Orthopaedy, First aid;
  
• retail sector, where our products are made especially for companies specialized in the distribution to pharmacies and orthopaedic shops.

Filmar bandages are sold in the E.C, Eastern Europe , Middle and Far East , South America .

It offers a peculiar service to its customers, aiming to reach always the top quality by following the standards of UNI EN ISO 9001:2000 . The suppliers of the raw materials are strictly selected and their products are carefully checked. Our rolling technique, with electronic control, permits to obtain rolls of large size, and very tight. In terms of innovation, new fibres are constantly tested and employed, such as Kevlar, Teflon, Nomex and Carbon.

Thanks to their exceptional thermal and mechanical characteristics, glass tapes are ideal for the insulation at the highest classes. Filmar supplies a complete range of products in different widths, thicknesses, and weights. Glass tapes are woven with 2 materials: standard glass and aminosilanic treated glass .

Cotton and Makò yarns are employed to weave tapes used for the insulation at low thermal classes.

The tapes woven with heat-shrink yarn are made using fibres with high standards of retraction to high temperatures. They are employed in the production of parts that need a wrapping tape that is self locking with heat.
